International Conference "Changes in the Work of Women in Poland and Germany"

Frankfurt, 26-28th September 2003 2003 roku

IFW participated in a conference called "Changes in the Work of Women in Poland and Germany" organised in Frankfurt on Men, by Ecumenical Board from Poland and Germany. The conference programme included the following issues:

• gender mainstreaming - in the EU politics, that is respecting both women's and men's perspective in all activities and not only of one gender.
• situation of women - employees and entrepreneurs on the labour market in Poland and Germany,
• human resources and equal opportunities policies implemented by chosen German companies (Lufthansa and Telecom), which employ plenipotentiaries to ensure equal rights for women and men.

We visited the Ministry for Social Affairs of Hessen in Wiesbaden, where a lecture on gender mainstreaming was held.
