2. Participation of IFW in international conferences
   • 25-28 September 2003 – Polish-Germany conference "Changes in the labour market in Poland and Germany", organised in Frankfurt by Polish Ecumenical Board together with the IFW
   • 1-3 December 2003 – Polish-Germany conference organised in Berlin on supporting entrepreneurship of women in Germany and in Poland
   • 29-31 January 2004 – Businesswomen Forum of the Mediterranean and countries joining the EU, Barcelona
3. Contest "Enterprising woman"
   
   The contest is organised by AVON and the IFW is a partner of the annual edition of the contest. So far four members of the IFE won the contest: Halina Kustosz from Warsaw, Urszula Hura from Olsztyn, Barbara Gobis and Hanna Kąkol from Gdańsk. One of the jurors in the contest is Phd. Ewa Lisowska – President of our association.
4. Meeting with Caroline Myss from the USA, the author of the book „Soul Anatomy ("Anatomia duszy"), organised in Ministry Board Office together with Anatomy – that published the book. The meeting took place on 26 June 2002.
5. Academy for Health and Beauty - organised in 2002 i 2003 r. by Derm-Service Pologne with the cooperation of IFW.
6. Participation in programs implemented by the Committee "Europe is among us", founded in January 2002. It aims at promoting European ideas among women, through organising debates and thematic meetings. The first debate – on economy – “Women, economics and the European integration” took place on 25 May 2002. The second one – “Businesswomen – to keep up with European competition challenges” ("Kobiety biznesu - sprostać wyzwaniom konkurencji europejskiej") took place in September in Krynica Górska by International Forum for Economy (Międzynarodowego Forum Gospodarczego). The third one was held in December 2002 in Cracow and dealt with culture.
   On each of the above-mentioned conference members of the IFW were preset in the role of both speakers and audience.
   In the first half of 2003 further meetings took place and they were dedicated to European resources. The meetings were organised by the Foundation “Europe is among us” ("Europa jest wśród nas"), established at the end of 2002.
7. Weekend for yourself: over the reported period our association organised several international offsites for its members: in October 2002 in Spala, in November 2002 and in March 2003 - in Gdynia (Genesis Spa), in October 2003 – in Wisla, and on the turn of April and May 2004 - in Nałęczow.
8. We took part in leader study missions of business organisation from Moldova and Albania, during which we had a chance to briefly present the Forum’s range of activity, our achievements and professional success of our members.
9. A new branch - in 2003 we voted on a resolution and the Pomorski branch of IFWwas established in Gdansk. It is the second branch outside Warsaw (the first was founded in 2000 in Olsztyn).
10. IFW patronage - our association held a patronage over the following events:
    • Academy for Health and Beauty (Akademia Zdrowia i Urody) - March 2003 i 2004, organised by Derm-Service Pologne. Panel discussion on women in business
    • Business Wo(w)man - April 2003 i 2004, conference organised by WSE students on women in business, politics, media and advertisement
    • Enterprising Women Club / Klub Kobiet Przedsiębiorczych – founded in April 2003 r. by AVON Cosmetics. It associates winners of the contest “Enterprising Woman” ("Kobieta przedsiębiorcza").
    • Vivoforta Fair - about women and for women - November 2003 and May 2004, organised by Murator Expo.
    • Successful Woman (“Kobieta Sukcesu”) – annual event organised on the 8th of March, in order to select the most unusual women, organised by Ewa Domaradzka – President of the IFW regional branch in Olsztyn. The jurors are journalist from Warmia and Mazury District
    • ”The world in Children’s Eyes” (”Świat w oczach dziecka”) – photo exhibition devoted to social integration and cultural differences. The board of jurors consisted of among others Jerzy Buzek, Beata Tyszkiewicz i Krzysztof Hołowczyc, June - December 2004
    • Fashion – event promoting young Polish fashion designers, June 2004
11. 10th anniversary of IFW win 2003 r. We celebrated our 10th anniversary and organised in Warsaw international conference titled woman and Business – Managing in Time of Globalisation and Integration ("Kobieta i biznes - zarządzanie w dobie globalizacji i integracji"). 120 women participated in the conference. It was accompanied by exhibition presenting companies owned by our members and charity action for a Stable "Klucz". There also was a contest to select the best “Auto Women 2003 ("Auto kobiety 2003"). During the conference we talked about the following issues: European Integration and Opportunities for Women, Women in Management - why it is worth employing women on managerial positions, How to Motivate and Persuade Employees, New Technologies – opportunities and dangers for women, Managing Changes in a Company, Takeovers and Mergers, Brand Management, Employment of Management Advisers form Outside. All conference materials were published in a magazine “Woman and Business” ("Kobieta i Biznes") 1-2/2003.
12. Contest („Women of Europe 2003 / 2004) "Kobiety Europy 2003/2004" - together with Funadation Centre for Advancement of Women, we organised a Polish edition of a European competition that first took place in 1987 r. and was organized by International Association for the Promotion of Women of Europe / Międzynarodowe Stowarzyszenie ds. Promocji Kobiet w Europie (AIPFE). The aim of the contest is to select a woman who significantly contributed to activities for European integration. The polish 6th edition 2003/2004 was announced in October 2003 r. Candidatures of women wishing to participate in the contest were gathered by 31 December. Among the candidates 10 women were selected by jurors consisting of representatives of journalists and public persons who awarded the prize to Róża Woźniakowska-Thun. She is the Polish winner and represented our country in the European contest.
